  1. All clients will be charged $59.50 for the initial examination with the doctor. After the initial exam, the doctor will provide a written estimate for any treatments and/or diagnostics he or she feels appropriate.

  2. Consults with all specialists are $125.00 but after 5 p.m. it becomes an emergency fee of  $175.00.

  3. Internal Medicine will also charge $65.00 emergency consultant fee after 5:00 PM.

  4. We are unable to do any billing. Payment must be made when services are rendered.

  5. We accept cash, check (with social security number and valid ID), Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and CareCredit*(See Below).

  6. The front door is kept locked at all times from 5:30 PM until 7:30 AM, please ring the doorbell for admittance.

  7. All patients are seen on a triage basis (most serious cases first).

  8. A deposit is required for all hospitalized patients. The balance must be paid before the pet goes home.

  9. We treat dogs, cats and pocket pets (small mammals such as rabbit and gerbils). We are unable to treat reptiles, amphibians, large (farm) animals, or wild animals. For some types of injury we can treat birds. Please call (515) 280-3051 if your pet needs medical attention.

  10. We are forbidden by law to dispense or prescribe medication without doing a physical exam.

  11. We do not make appointments, but we request that clients call before arriving at the clinic.

  12. There is a $65 fee to transfer from the Emergency Room Services to either Internal Medicine or Surgery.
